Le Chatelard Savon de Marseille
Le Chatelard 1802 Savon de Marseille Soaps
All soaps are handmade in the workshops of Le Chatelard 1802 in St Auban sur Ouvèze, Provence (France). Due to the pH neutral formula, these soaps do not dry out the skin. They are a source of intense hydration and softness. The soaps are subtly perfumed with flowers, fruit and other natural ingredients, giving them rich foam that nourishes, moisturizes and smells delicious.
This 100% natural soap
is traditionally produced by mixing Mediterranean water with olive oil, with or without other vegetable oils, sodium carbonate and sodium hydroxide. This mixture is heated in a large boiler for a few days, the mixture being constantly stirred. This gives it plenty of time to 'mature', after which it is poured into molds to harden further. When the soap is still soft, it is already cut into the correct shape and stamped. The entire process can take up to a month.
